Installation¶

PyVRP Enterprise is distributed as a binary Python package (a wheel) through our private Python package index. Applied Routing provides a license key when your trial or subscription starts, which you need to install and use the package.

Install the package¶

PyVRP Enterprise has the same dependencies and uses the same package name as our open-source version. You can install PyVRP Enterprise from our private package index, hosted by Keygen, using your license key to authenticate downloads. Using for example pip or uv, run the following commands to install PyVRP Enterprise in your project:

Note that installing pyvrp from the public Python package index gives you the open-source version.

Using your license¶

After installing PyVRP Enterprise in your project, you can import pyvrp as usual. Make sure to set the PYVRP_LICENSE_KEY in the environment where Python runs:

PyVRP Enterprise reads and validates your license key during the solve process. Validation happens locally and requires no internet connection or machine activation.

Renewing your license¶

Each key has a fixed expiry date and works until the end of that date in UTC. Please contact us if you wish to renew your license. After renewal, rotate your old license key for the new one: renewing a subscription does not extend an existing key.
